With the emergence of Covid 19 and the implementation of quarantine, 2020 has proved to be a difficult year for everyone. Practically everyone in our community is drastically affected by these new changes, whether it is emotionally, financially or mentally. Unfortunately, some communities are more affected by Covid 19 than others due to funding, lack of PPE, or being situated in an area with a higher number of cases. That is why to help ease the burden, a group within TeamXHealth has volunteered to raise money for two hospitals that work with underrepresented and underserved communities: Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital. In the span of 2 months, we have raised $750. The money will be used for purchasing PPE equipment for Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital and donated to Covid 19 Emergency Fund for Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
